Winter is such a weird time of the year. It’s dark, it’s usually gloomy, and our outfits seem to resemble much of the same. Blacks, grays, more black, darker black. We all tend to fall into the rut of colorless and bland when the weather outside is frightful. Yours truly included! I’ve been trying to make a big effort to add some color to my wardrobe this winter. If there is a day that it gets over 40, you bet your bottom I’m rocking something ultra bright. Just check out my feed on Instagram and you’ll see lots of pinks and yellows (which are also going to be MAJOR this spring). But one color I’m really loving, and that easily can move through all four seasons, is purple! It’s bright, but not obnoxiously so. It comes in every shade imaginable and works on many skin tones and ages! It pairs well with patterns and other staple neutrals without looking like your toddler dressed you. Would you have ever thought to pair leopard with purple? And rock it at the office!? It’s do-able! And this Target sweater has been on major repeat in my closet this winter on it’s own, but it makes one hell of a statement paired with some royal purple! Unfortunately it is sold out, but I linked the short sleeve version for Spring/Summer below!! Now go flip through that closet and grab those purple pieces. Play around with them and I bet you’ll find that you have another basic to play with for the rest of Winter! Maybe it’ll help you forget about the 28 degree weather we are currently having. UGH. How many more days till Spring!?!!
