Spring is FINALLY HERE!!!!!! We made it out of the snowy tundra and we can break out the lighter and brighter clothes. I’m so excited! I’ve been stock piling so many thing the last few weeks, waiting, impatiently mind you, to finally get a chance to wear them. I’m seeing lots of seersucker and stripes on the racks for spring and summer and I can’t say I’m upset about it. It’s simple, classic pattern and a warm weather staple. The material is always light and airy, which will keep you cool on that humid, steamy subway ride into work. You may think stripes and seersucker is a little too preppy for you, but paired with something a bit more edgy like a leather bomber jacket or structured pant and you’ll be big city chic rather than straight from the plantation preppy. I snagged both these palazzo pants and blazer from Forever21 and am truly in love. Yes, that’s right, Forever21. Their styles range from teens to grown working woman, and if you have the time to flip thru the racks, I highly suggest you do! Their contemporary line is made more for a women’s body and style! Their app is also great if you are in search of something more specific, since their stores are typically very large and can be overwhelming. But if you are trying to stay on trend season after season, buying a pair of shoes or a skirt for $20 that’ll last till the next wave of trendy things comes through, rather than the designer versions for $200+, I’d say that’s a win! I actually love their shoes just as much as their clothes if we are being totally honest here. And to be honest, my Forever 21 shoes always end up being more comfortable than the pricier brands! Paired both striped pieces with some basics and am ready for a day at the office, or a night out with the babe. Or just hanging out in the backyard with my gal pal and a good cocktail!
