Easter has come and gone but not without some fun fashions to go along with it. Still pretty chilly up here in the Northeast so what’s a girl to do to really embrace Spring but not freeze her Easter eggs off? My answer? A good structured crop pant. I probably own 10 different pairs and love them all. Great for transitional periods like Winter to Spring and even Summer to Fall, a cropped pant can look really put together, while still being extremely comfortable.
If your holidays or other Spring celebrations are anything like mine and involve large family gatherings as well as lots of yummy food you just need something you can move in and not worry. None of the tugging or shifting of skirts and dresses here! Picking up after the kids?! No problem! Pants are always a great option but cropped styles add a bit of flare and really let you show off those great shoes you spent WAY too much on but just couldn’t pass up. You know which ones I’m talking about!!
Paired with a basic blouse and some great accessories, these babies will make you stand out among the pastel suits and floral dresses. Bold jewel tones add a great pop but also are demure enough to wear into the conference room. These pants really do double duty. Check out some of my favorite options linked below! (Yes, I own them all…Surprised? Didn’t think so)
Petite? Worried a cropped pant can’t work for you? Many stores now offer large petite collections and make clothes for those of us who are vertically impaired. Your girl included!! Most cropped trousers should hit mid calf, which not only elongates but slims the leg when you flash a little ankle! A cinched waist helps add some balance, so throw on a belt or opt for a high-waisted pair with a slim top tucked in.
Need to go more corporate? Add a blazer and a pointy pump and you’ll be on route to CEO in no time.
To keep my Easter outfit on point, with some extra room for my steak dinner, I paired these navy trousers with a stretchy ivory puff sleeve top (broader shoulders = smaller looking waist ladies!!!), chunky necklace and a jeweled tweed pump. Try a pair out and see if I’ve brought you over to the cropped side.
