Wearing navy with black (which I think I am doing right now), a brown belt with black shoes and I’m not really sure where the “rule” of not wearing white after Labor Day really came from, but I think it’s safe to say that the fashion rule-book has pretty much been thrown out the window. White is an all year color and should be rocked 365 days a year. The real rule should be “No linen pant suits or dresses unless on vacation somewhere warm and fabulous.” A bit long for a hashtag or t-shirt, but who’s with me in breaking this rule, hands up! It was remarkably fall-like last weekend but seeing as we are still only technically in Summer, I just couldn’t get myself to make the full blown switch to Fall. So I pulled out this pair of jeans, a long standing favorite of mine I wear when I know only clear liquids will be enjoyed and threw together a, what I think is, fairly fall appropriate look. And I even managed to keep them completely spotless! Seriously with a dog that just loves to be on you 24/7 and rain, I’m shocked these aren’t currently soaking in a tub of bleach. Not sure if this look went over well everywhere, I did get a few stares for my fashion faux-pa, but maybe they were just as impressed as I was that after a full day, there wasn’t a spot on them! Here’s to breaking every fashion rule and doing it with confidence. That’s really the star of any outfit!
